Motixafortide is a potent, long-acting CXCR4 antagonist that stimulates the release of hematopoietic stem cells from the bone marrow into the peripheral blood. CXCR4 Antagonism

Motixafortide binds to the CXCR4 receptor on hematopoietic stem cells, blocking its interaction with the SDF-1 (CXCL12) ligand.
